Job Description:

General Loss Prevention Duties would include but not be exclusive to the following:

General Observation & surveillance in all parts of the Bookstore. Utilize camera system to watch for shoplifting & other suspicious activities. Deter and prevent wrongful taking of property. Detain suspected shoplifters. Assist UCSD Police Department with detentions & arrests. Prepare & Maintain reports, maintain daily log book. Appear in court as needed. Assist in emergency situations as needed. Other related duties as assigned.


Retail experience required. Ability to maintain confidentiality, able to observe, identify, and report situations clearly. Computer literate in PCs.

Must pay UCSD student services fees each quarter working. Work-study preferred but not required.
